Let's review the video!!!!

Fundamentals of Teaching: Explain

View the video and explain what Model does this lesson fits and what type of lesson does it represent?

The model shown in this video would be the social interaction model. It would be the social interaction model because students are working together to solve a problem. The kind of lesson being shown is a corporative lesson because students work in small groups to achieve a common goal. The video states "Corporative learning is not just a way of helping students academically, but it is also a way to get them to rely on each other." For corporative learning to be successful, teachers need to state the aims they want their students to accomplish. Students need to be placed in groups based on their differences. A teacher should be prepared to help them as they get further into the group activity. I believe cooperative learning is extremely beneficial in a classroom but at the same time might have a tendency to get out of hand. I myself cannot wait to use cooperative learning and am really excited to write this kind of lesson in my unit plan.
